This works
Once again an email promo of Jonathan Saunders has caught my eye. I spent at least 10 minutes with him because of this piece of business. Nicely designed, concise, informative and inspiring. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that his upbeat attitude in the face of these tough times has made me have good feelings about him. Good work Jonathan!
I asked Jonathan about the response he got from this promo. I’m sure these fairly impressive numbers will be of interest to some of you:
Most of the responses came from friends, just tell me to eat more vegetables and a few nice emails from reps. I mailed it to 448 contacts on a list I created on my own, had 24 bounces, 3 opt-outs, 141 opens and 66 click through.
But what might be more interesting are Jonathan’s thoughts on purchased email lists (notice above he mentions he uses a list he has created on his own). But we’ll get to that tomorrow. I’m out of blog shape- I’ve got to pace myself or I’ll get a cramp.
