HMAb: The Fundraiser – Katarina Marinic

by Jamie Rosenthal on January 23, 2012

Just a quick reminder: HMAb: The Fundraiser is taking place on February 5th at the Gladstone Hotel in Toronto. Tickets cost $10 and can be purchased in the right-hand column of this blog. Naomi Harris, Daniel Ehrenworth and Brett Gundlock will be speaking about their latest projects. And 40 photographers have donated work to a silent print auction. All money raised from the sale of their prints will go directly to Heather. You can join the Facebook event page here. If you’re curious to know why we’re raising funds for Heather, please refer to “Some Good News and Some Bad News“.

Katarina Marinic has been a freelance photo retoucher for the past seven years. During this time she’s worked with many photographers, agencies and publications in Toronto and abroad. She’s skilled at everything from complex compositing to subtle skin retouching. We’re featuring her today because she worked behind-the-scenes to prep all of the silent auction images for printing. The final prints are going to look great and we have the photographers, Katarina and Pikto to thank!

I worked with Kat years ago. She’s a true professional and a lovely person as well. Great to see how far she has come. Well done Kat.
