If you haven’t been following Heather’s blog for the last few weeks: My name is Jamie Rosenthal and I’ve been guest blogging to help promote HMAb: The Fundraiser. If you’re curious to know why we’re raising funds for Heather, please refer to “Some Good News and Some Bad News”.
HMAb: The Fundraiser is taking place on February 5th at the Gladstone Hotel in Toronto. Tickets cost $10 and can be purchased in the right-hand column of this blog. When you purchase a ticket your name will be added to the guest list; no physical ticket will be delivered. You can join the Facebook event page here.
There are two main aspects of the event: artist talks and a silent print auction. Naomi Harris, Daniel Ehrenworth and Brett Gundlock will be speaking about their latest projects. And 40 photographers have donated work to the silent auction! All money raised from the sale of their prints will go directly to Heather. Pikto is sponsoring the event and they will be printing all (40) 16×20 images for us.

Toronto-based photographer Nikki Ormerod has contributed an image to the fundraiser! When not busy with commercial assignments, Nikki will frequently plan and execute elaborate creative shoots.
