Hey, I’m too busy playing my new Wii AC/DC Rockband tonight so the blog post is a little sketch. Instead, here are a few shots from the amazing Phillip Toledano’s Video Game series. To introduce, he says:
I wanted to take portraits of people that would reveal a hidden part of their character. So I had them play video games.
This series was shot back in 2002 and apparently Sony ripped off Toledano’s work to create their PS Slim campaign which launched last August. Follow this link to read more about it and see the Sony campaign.
But before I go, Mr. Toledano’s work is diverse and spectacularly fresh – if you don’t know him, please go here and be sure to spend time with his Days With My Father series.
And to end, here’s something new:
Not to worry- lots of good stuff coming up in the following days.
And, for more shots of gamers and some interesting commentary, check out Conscientious’ post here. Thanks Mark:

You’ve featured Jay on your site before re: Maximum Exposure, but I figured this fit into your Wii playing nicely:

LOVE LOVE LOVE Phillip Toledano’s Days with my Father Series. I haven’t been that moved by a personal body of work in a long time. It was so beautifully raw and honest, and so full of love. Thanks for posting.
